Home » Social-Emotional Learning Workshop for Adults
Today, we came together in a meaningful and informative workshop focusing on the social-emotional development of adults. Our workshop was shaped around increasing individual emotional awareness and how this awareness can be used effectively in different areas of our lives.
The training started with a journey with the theme “understanding our emotions wants”. First, we focused on recognizing the basic wants and needs that underlie our emotions. Often, as parents, we focus on the social-emotional development of our children, but today we took a step to recognize our own areas of development. Because the development of our social-emotional skills can positively affect both our own peace of mind and our relationships in our family.
Throughout the workshop, participants had the opportunity to share their own experiences. Hearing different perspectives and learning from each other made the training enjoyable and participatory.
Understanding and Naming Emotions: Participants explored the sources of their emotions in different situations and how to name them.
Needs and Values: Emphasis was placed on the idea that our emotions often express an unmet need. This concept helped individuals to understand their emotions on a deeper level.
Areas of Change: In social-emotional development, we developed an awareness of the areas in which we can make changes as individuals. We talked about the development of our skills to listen more effectively, empathize and express emotions in our relationships.
This training was an important step for individuals to better understand themselves and develop their emotional intelligence. Participants shared that the workshop was both full of information and took place in a pleasant atmosphere. At the same time, at the end of the training, we emphasized once again how important the idea of “it is difficult to understand others without understanding ourselves” is.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this meaningful journey. We hope to meet again in the next workshop program!
