Living School

The Living School is an approach that advocates that the educational process does not only take place within four walls, but that children learn in their natural, social and cultural contexts. In this model, education is not only about transferring academic knowledge, but also about helping children acquire social, emotional and physical skills by interacting with their environment. Students are encouraged to actively participate in the various activities, excursions, projects and community service work offered by the school. Thus, the learning process allows children to express themselves, develop critical thinking skills and establish a deeper connection with their environment. By offering a holistic approach to education, the Living School philosophy aims to ensure that individuals grow up to be successful and sensitive citizens not only in the academic field but also in all areas of life.

Camping in the Forest (Family-Children-School)

Camp activities with accommodation in the forest allow children to spend time in touch with nature and get to know it more closely. Organized in cooperation with the family, child and school, these camps help children develop sensitivity to nature, learn survival skills and gain independence. At the same time, families have a pleasant time with their children and participate in learning processes together, strengthening family-school cooperation. These camps also allow families to meet each other, strengthen their social ties and form a community. In this way, families feel that they are not alone in their children’s educational process and can receive mutual support. These camps support children to increase their self-confidence, strengthen their social relationships and develop problem-solving skills.

Daily Culture-Art Trips (Family-Children-School)

Day trips to arts and culture contribute to children’s social and cultural awareness. These excursions enable children to learn about art and history, recognize different cultural values and explore different aspects of society. The participation of families in these excursions makes it possible for children to have social experiences with their families and to be supported in this process. Such activities contribute to the development of children’s self-expression skills and self-confidence.

Reading Club, Nature Walks, Seminars and Conferences: Parents Learning Together

Activities such as reading clubs, nature walks, seminars and conferences indirectly contribute to children’s academic and social development. The reading club is for parents only and allows parents to meet each other and strengthen their social bonds. This activity helps parents develop reading habits and strengthen their critical thinking skills so that they can be more supportive of their children. Nature walks support children’s physical health and their attachment to nature, while seminars and conferences allow families to participate in the process of learning together. These activities keep children’s curiosity alive and help them develop a positive attitude towards learning.

Our Social Responsibility Projects: Contributing to Society and Raising Conscious Individuals

Our social responsibility projects aim to help children gain sensitivity and responsibility towards society. Our students are the main actors in these projects. By contributing to a project organized, executed and supervised by the Social Responsibility Commission every Friday, our children gain lifelong discipline, which is the main goal. Children who take part in these projects learn to recognize the needs of different segments of society and find solutions to these needs. Social responsibility projects help children develop empathy and internalize the feelings of helping and sharing. In this way, children grow up as active and conscious individuals in society and their self-confidence increases.

Second Hand Exchange and Sales Market, Ramadan Gatherings, Bicycle Tour, Orienteering, Parent Participation Commissions: Activities to Strengthen Family-School Interaction

Activities such as bicycle tours and orienteering help children develop healthy living habits by engaging them in physical activities. Committees with parent participation ensure that families are involved in the school’s management process, thus emphasizing the importance of family-school cooperation in children’s education. These activities develop children’s social skills and help them take an active role in the community and gain a sense of belonging.
