In our kindergarten, we serve specially prepared menus to support the healthy development of our children. These menus are planned to contribute to both the physical and mental development of our children.
 
What’s on our menus?
 
-Seasonal Foods: We make sure that our children consume the freshest and most natural foods. Our meals prepared with seasonal vegetables and fruits are both delicious and rich in nutritional value.
-Natural Flour Preference: The cakes and pastries we make using Karakılçık flour offer our children the benefits of natural, non-genetically modified wheat.
-Hormone-Free Alternatives:
Our menus do not include products such as milk and chicken, which are at high risk of containing hormones and are prone to allergies; instead, we offer healthy alternatives such as homemade yogurt, meat, minced meat and legumes.
-Vitamin Supplement: We aim to meet our children’s vitamin needs by using seasonal fruits in our snacks. In this way, we support their natural immune system.
     Egg : We provide eggs, which we can call the highest quality protein after breast milk, from organically fed chickens and ensure that our children eat them for breakfast every day.
 

Why Healthy Eating

Healthy eating habits are acquired during childhood. Children who are fed with balanced and natural foods develop as individuals who are more energetic, happy and open to learning. It supports their growth and development and immune system. By placing this awareness in our kindergarten, we lay the foundations that will benefit our children for a lifetime. We need to produce alternatives to keep children away from packaged, sugary and additive-containing foods.

Our Understanding of Nutrition: Balanced and Healthy Nutrition

Nutrition plays an important role in children’s development at our school and therefore we have a nutritional approach that encourages a healthy, balanced and natural diet. Our meal menus are carefully planned to support children’s physical and mental development. Our nutrition program aims to ensure that children get all the nutrients they need in a balanced way, while also developing their taste buds. All food served at our school is prepared with natural and fresh ingredients and does not contain additives. Products such as fruit juices, yogurt, olives, buttermilk and jam are produced at our school. In addition, the flour is a blend of karakılçık flour and regular flour and rock salt is used as salt.

Food Menu and Dietitian: Planning for Individual Needs

Our menus are prepared by our professional dietitian in accordance with the individual needs of each child. Our dietician makes menu plans in accordance with the age, health status and special needs of each child and makes the necessary arrangements to ensure a balanced diet. Special menus are created especially for children with food allergies or intolerances and this process is meticulously monitored. In this way, each child has a healthy and appropriate diet.

Healthy Eating Practices and Suppliers: Natural and Local Products

We cooperate with natural and local suppliers within the framework of healthy eating practices at our school. The products from our suppliers are fresh and seasonal. In addition to weekly purchases from the market and grocery stores, butcher’s shop purchases are made on a daily basis so that the children are provided with the freshest and healthiest ingredients. Products such as yogurt, buttermilk, fruit juice and jam produced in our school kitchen are prepared and served to children using natural ingredients. This approach ensures that children are fed with natural foods, while at the same time raising awareness of sustainable living.

Our Suppliers

Forest practices in schools are an important educational method that offers students the opportunity to integrate with nature and gain in-depth knowledge about the ecosystem. The forest is not only a natural habitat, but also a teaching environment that helps students develop environmental awareness. Forest areas created in school gardens or nearby neighborhoods give children the opportunity to explore vegetation, animal diversity and natural cycles. Such practices teach students the importance of protecting nature and contribute to the development of social skills such as responsibility, cooperation and leadership. Forest activities also support children’s physical and mental development and help them adopt a healthy lifestyle. By exploring the natural resources offered by the forest, students strengthen their ties with nature and prepare to become environmentally friendly individuals in the future.

We also take a sensitive approach to our children’s health and water consumption. Thanks to the Rain Walther water purifiers used in our school, children are provided with clean and healthy drinking water. Located in the kitchen and in the hallway, these water purifiers are periodically maintained and disinfected, ensuring that children can safely consume water. By providing our children with high quality and healthy water, we support their overall well-being.
